Nova Scotia Power Inc., Weymouth NS – Turbine Lube Oil Monitoring System

TriMac Engineering designed a lube oil level monitoring and leak detection/containment system for a 1950s-era hydroelectric turbine in Southwest Nova Scotia. The system featured oil level sensing, automatic isolation valves, continuous monitoring, and full integration with the existing turbine startup and shutdown controls. The project also included sump water handling, pump control, and oil-water separation to support safe and environmentally responsible operation
